Woodstock Public Library

Genealogists and historians may search our extensive collection of records dating back to the early 1800s. Sources include local newspapers, maps, court, land, school and church records and census returns, in print and on microfilm.

The local history collection is available to researchers during all public service hours. Copying facilities for both print and microfilm are available at 20 cents per page. The newspaper index is available online by clicking Special Collections.

The library is unable to provide long-distance telephone, written or email research assistance or to extract copies of entries in the newspaper index from the microfilmed newspapers. If you are unable to visit the library, you may wish to contact the Oxford Historical and Genealogical Society at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Their experienced volunteers can search the library's collection and make copies for you for a small research fee.
