What is Homebound Service?

If you are homebound, either temporarily or for a longer term, for reasons of health or mobility, the library can help keep you supplied with books to read or movies to watch. Our librarians are happy to select material on your behalf and to have it ready for pickup by a family member, friend or caregiver

What we do...

  1. Select material for pickup by your designated carrier.
  2. Place the material on hold for you at Circulation for you carrier to pick up at their convenience.

What you do…

  1. Make your initial arrangements for Homebound Service with Linda Moore or Penny Quinn.
  2. Complete a pdf Reading Preference form.
  3. Complete a pdf Temporary Transfer of Borrowing Privileges form, which assigns pickup permission for you library material to a family member, friend or caregiver.
  4. Call the Information Desk staff whenever you wish to request material. Items will be available for your carrier to pick up in 24 hours.
