RBdigital (formerly Zinio) gives you access to current issues of popular magazines to read on your computer, tablet or smartphone.

What You Need

  • A valid Woodstock Public Library card
  • An account at www.rbdigital.com/woodstocklibraryon (library card and email address required to create)
  • The RBdigital for Libraries or RBdigital app (to download and read magazines offline on your tablet or smartphone)
  • The RBdigital Desktop Reader for PC or Mac to download and read magazines on your computer - requires a second account at RBdigital.com using the same email address as your WPL RBdigital account
  • RBdigital app for Windows 8 - requires a second account at rbdigital.com using the same email address as your WPL RBdigital account

RBdigital and Your Privacy

In order to access RBdigital, you will be required to create an RBdigital account. RBdigital is a third-party service that is governed by its own privacy policy and practices. We advise that you consult RBdigital's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy before agreeing to use this service. When you register for an account, the library will only provide RBdigitala with information to verify that you are eligible to borrow.

How many magazines may I borrow?

There is no limit to the number of magazines you can check out.

Do I have to return the magazines?

No. You can keep them as long as you like or delete them from your account when you're done with them.

Can I get past issues of a magazine?

Yes, Back issues are available for many titles.

Why are some magazines not available?

Magazine publishers decide which magazines to offer through the RBdigital service. Some popular titles are not available to libraries.

What do I do if I already have a personal RBdigital.com account and now I want to start using the library version?

Check out a magazine on Woodstock Public Library's RBdigital site and create an account using the same email address you use for your personal RBdigital.com account. When you sign in to RBdigital.com, you will find your library magazine checkouts in your account.

You will probably want to continue using the RBdigital app rather than the RBdigital for Libraries app.

How do I read magazines on my computer?

  1. Select Start Reading right after you check out a magazine, or
  2. Go to My Collection and click on the book icon on the bottom left, below the cover.
  3. To download magazines for offline reading, you need the RBdigital Desktop Reader and a second account at RBdigital.com using the same address as your WPL RBdigital account.

How do I read magazines on my tablet or smartphone?

  1. Check out the magazines you want.
  2. Download the RBdigital for Libraries app for your device.
  3. Enter the email address and password you used to create your RBdigital account. The magazines you have checked out will display in the app.
  4. Download titles to read by tapping the cloud icon below the magazine cover. An internet connection is required to download titles, but once they are downloaded they can be read offline.
  5. When you want a new magazine, you must always start at www.rbdigital.com/woodstocklibraryon as the apps are read-only.

How do I delete a magazine once I have checked it out?

  1. Sign in to your account at www.rbdigital.com/woodstocklibraryon.
  2. In My Collection, click on the garbage can icon on the lower right corner, below the cover and confirm that you want to remove the issue.
  3. In the app, select Edit in the top right corner and click the X beside the magazine you want to delete.
