Teen Advisory Group (TAG)

(ages 13-17 years)

The Library is looking for teens aged 13 to 17 who want the opportunity to share their ideas for ways to improve our teen space, YA collections and to help plan fun events for teens. You can also earn community service hours towards your high school diploma. We meet the second Tuesday of the month from September to June. Summer Volunteering @ WPL

(ages 13 -17 years)
July and August
We are looking for high school aged teens (including those starting grade 9 in September) to help out with our children's programming and pop-up activities in the Children's Department throughout the summer. It's a fun way to meet other teens and earn community service hours! Just pick up an application at the library to apply or contact us for more information. Deadline for applications is Saturday, June 9. Applicants will be contacted by phone for an interview.

Wednesdays     6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
A new Wednesday night drop in for young teens. No registration is required and snacks are provided.

July 4 Paint Night Find your hidden artistic talents in WPL's version of a paint night.
July 18 Virtual Reality Try out our virtual reality headset and games with your friends.*
August 1 Clay Sculpting Release your inner Michelangelo in this fun clay sculpting night.
August 15 Hydro Dipping Mugs Get creative marbling a mug in our hydro dipping program.

 

*Please note that virtual reality participants must be 10 years or older and have no pre-existing medical conditions. Children aged 10-12 years must have signed parental consent to participate in virtual reality activities.

June 26 Virtual Reality Try out our virtual reality headset and games with your friends.*
July 10 Escape Room! Try escaping WPL's version of an escape room. Team up with friends to solve puzzles, riddles and the ultimate mystery. Register in advance for your time slot.
August 7 Crafts & Video Gaming Hang out with friends and make crafts or play video games.
