Unlock your imagination at our innovation stations! Use your creativity to build, create and play with a variety of materials and activities throughout the Children's Department.

Outsmarting a leprechaun to find his hidden treasure has never been easier! Drop in to the Children's Department anytime for St. Patrick's Day themed crafts and activities.

Maker Mania!

Kick off March Break with an innovative and creative challenge. Make your own Rube Goldberg machine using our robots and STEAM supplies to complete a simple task. How crazy will the machine get? That's up to you! Registration required.

DIY Musical Instruments

Balloon Twisting Workshop

(for ages 8-12 years)

Join Melissa Sherk of Balloon in a Box Canada as she teaches the art of balloon twisting. Participants will learn the types of balloons commonly used and create their own balloon dog, sword and hat using simple twist techniques. Registration required.

Bracelet Making

Tessa Pretty of Pretty Pieces will show you how to make essential oil beaded bracelets using wooden and semi-precious stones. Choose the beads and essential oils that suit your personality. Drop in!

Drive-in Movie

The weather is always perfect at our indoor drive-in! Bring your favourite stuffy and enjoy a movie from the comfort of a cool cardboard car! Drop in.

Afternoon Paint Night

Drop in and try out some cool robotics and tech for free at WPL! Code with Bee Bots, play a Makey Makey banana piano, stunt drive a Meeper Bot, plus so much more. Drop in!

Virtual Reality Drop In

(for ages 10-15 years)

Put on a headset and enter a virtual world of fun! With lots of games to choose from, participants are sure to be entertained. Please note that to participate in virtual reality activities, children must be 10 years or older and have no pre-existing medical conditions. Children aged 10-12 years must have signed parental consent to participate.
