Canoe for Change with Glenn Green and Carol VandenEngel

We kick off our 2019 Travelogue series with an exciting canoeing adventure. 6,195 km down, and 2,205 km to go! Upon retiring, Glenn and Carol's plan was to complete an epic canoe journey across Canada. Along the way, they are helping Canadians by raising awareness of food poverty. This presentation will offer a glimpse into the first two-thirds of their journey from Ottawa, ON to Sydney, NS, and from Vancouver, BC to Fort Frances, ON, following the traditional routes of the fur traders and voyageurs. Please bring a non-perishable food donation for our local food bank.

Enjoy not only the stories of the places she visited, but also the people of Russia.

Hear his story of how chocolate is processed from bean to bar. Learn about single varietals cacao beans and the rich flavours that are produced using an authentic rustic style.
