  • A PC running Windows 7 SP1 or later, or Mac OS 10.8 or later
  • Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 9 or later

To use lyndaLibrary on a Smartphone or Tablet

  • A mobile device with Android 2.3+ or later or iOS 7.0+ or later and can be accessed through your mobile browser.
    Please note that the app is not compatible with library subscriptions.
  • A wireless connection to download or stream the content*
* Using wireless internet cellular data is not recommended as streaming/downloading multimedia content can consume a lot of bandwidth. Wireless internet access is available at the Woodstock Public Library.

What Kind of Content Does lyndaLibrary Have?

  • Computers and Technology: lyndaLibrary is great for teaching yourself computer software and technology including tutorials on Windows 10, Office 2016, Android, iOS, Facebook and WordPress. For more advanced users, it also includes courses on computer programming and scripting languages for those interested in learning how to code.
  • MakerSpace: Tutorials include 3D printing, audio/video editing, using a green screen and more.
  • Photography: lyndaLibrary offers close to 600 photography courses for all skill levels and all aspects including Photoshop, iPhoto and Lightroom, as well as courses on how to fine tune your camera or taking pictures in low light.
  • Business: You'll find several tutorials on improving business skills, productivity, leadership, project management and presentations.

In order to access lyndaLibrary, you will be required to create a lyndaLibrary account. lyndaLibrary is a third-party service that is governed by its own privacy policy and practices. We advise that you consult lyndaLibrary's Privacy Policy before agreeing to use this service. When you register for an account, the library will only provide lyndaLibrary with information to verify that you are eligible to borrow.

No. There are apps, but they do not yet work with the lyndaLibrary service provided to libraries.
